Menopause, hormones and your gut
Peri, post, and everything in between. The digestive changes nobody warned you about, and what can be done about them.
Somewhere in your forties or fifties, digestion changes. Bloating that was never there before. Constipation that does not respond to what used to work. Sleep that falls apart at 3 a.m. Weight that moves to the middle and stays. Most women are told it is just hormones and handed a prescription or a shrug.
The gut and the hormonal system are not separate. Estrogen is processed and cleared through the liver and the gut, and when elimination slows, so does that clearing. That is the connection Llolyn has worked in for years, first as a Standard Process and MediHerb representative teaching other practitioners, and now one client at a time.
What Llolyn looks at
- Elimination: how often, how completely, and what has changed.
- Nutrition: what you eat, what you have cut out, and what your body is missing.
- Liver and gallbladder support, because that is where hormones get cleared.
- Balanced Hormones: hormone balance for every stage of womanhood. All-natural herbal and glandular nutritional support designed to nourish the body’s own hormone processes.
- Sleep, energy and stress, which all show up in the gut.
- Whether colon hydrotherapy is a useful part of your plan, or not.
What it is not
Llolyn does not prescribe or replace hormone therapy, and nothing here treats or cures a medical condition. This is nutrition, herbal support, detoxification and colon hydrotherapy, used carefully alongside whatever your physician has you on.
Questions
Is this only for women in menopause?
No. Perimenopause can start years before periods stop, and many of the same digestive and sleep changes show up then. Men with hormonal and digestive concerns come in too.
Does Llolyn prescribe hormones?
No. Llolyn is not a prescriber. Her work is nutrition, herbs, detoxification, colon hydrotherapy and lifestyle. If you are on hormone therapy, it works alongside it; tell your prescriber what you are doing.
What does a first visit look like for this?
The same first visit as anyone else: a conversation, an abdominal exam and digestive screening, and a plan. Whether colon hydrotherapy is part of that plan depends on what she finds.
Start with a conversation
Tell Llolyn what has changed. She has heard it before, and she listens.
